Ja'mie Is Back! Chris Lilley Revives Ja’mie King Character Eight Years On

Aussie comedian and actor Chris Lilley has delighted fans, bringing back his well-loved character Ja’mie King after eight years since his hit TV series, 'Ja'mie: Private School Girl' in 2013.

Reprising his role as 'Jamie Louise "Ja'mie” King’, first introduced to audiences in 'We Can Be Heroes' in 2005, Lilley teased the return of the character on the 6th of April 2021. He posted a slideshow of photos of Ja’mie on Facebook, with the caption, 'Somethings coming'.

The 46-year-old 'Summer Heights High' creator then posted on his social media accounts:

After its debut, the parody podcast, titled ‘Ja’miezing’ has already gone to number one on UK and Australian Apple Podcast charts, as announced by Lilley on Facebook.

In Episode 1, titled 'No Offence', "Ja’mie talks weight gain, being woke, future unborn son, Africa, fillers, sexuality, huntsman attack, 21st party, finding a man (with money), her nudes, dream work life, hand-job technique and more."

Portrayed by Lilley, the character rose to fame in TV series, 'We Can Be Heroes' and 'Summer Heights High', and then had her own series 'Ja'mie: Private School Girl', also created by Lilley. The controversial actor is also known for his characters, Jonah Takalua and Mr G.

'Summer Heights High' won him Most Popular Actor and Most Outstanding Comedy Program in 2008 at The Logie Awards and in 2014 he also won Most Popular Actor for 'Ja'mie: Private School Girl'.
