Limp Bizkit's Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water Album Turns 21

To celebrate Limp Bizkit's Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water album turning 21, we've compiled some interesting facts you (probably) didn't know about the album's songs and release.

Lead Singer, Fred Durst, revealed he personally asked his long-time collaborator Wes Borland (who hadn't played with Limp Bizkit in four years) to play on the album and was shocked when he agreed.

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts with 1.05 million units sold in its first week of release.

To date, the album has sold a staggering 12 million units worldwide.

My Generation

My Generation contains a tonne of references to things of the time that the current generation would have associated with.

This includes some songs from Guns n Roses and Spice Girls

For the internet old school out there, it also mentions the defunct Macromedia Shockwave Flash with "Downloading the Shockwave"

My Way

My Way was used as the theme song for Wrestlemania XVII for wrestling fans out there.

It was also featured as part of the video package for the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock WWF Championship Event.

Rollin'

Ben Stiller and Stephen Dorff appear in the music video briefly.

Sections of the music video were filmed on top of the World Trade Centre South Tower in 2000.

Take a Look Around

The was the theme song for Mission Impossible 2

Boiler

This music video pays homage to Pink Floyds The Wall.

MTV Banned the music video due to Wes Borland's head falling off and the couples all having a good time.

It makes me wonder what people will think of Limp Bizkit in another 20 years from now.
