Wendy Jubb Stoney is the owner of Flinders Island Gourmet Retreat and has a passion for hosting guests, telling stories and sharing Flinders Island life with her guests. With your room, you have access to the reading room, sitting room as well as all the outdoor spaces. Your rate also includes breakfast, fresh home cooked biscuits and cakes for morning and afternoon tea and a cooking demonstration at 5:30pm.
The Cooma House Kitchen is a commercial kitchen and designed for cooking schools. Jules and Glenn were given the opportunity to take part in a cooking class and they made a Curry Dressing and an Asian Dressing.

Ingredients - Curry Dressing
1 Teaspoon of French Mustard
1 Teaspoon of Curry Powder
1 Teaspoon of White Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Fresh Herbs (Italian parsley or tarragon or basil)
1 Tablespoon White Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Sour Cream (or fresh cream and lemon juice)
1 clove of Garlic, crushed
1/2 Cup of Olive Oil
Salt to taste
Ground Black pepper to taste
Shake all ingredients together in a small jar
Can be kept in the fridge ready to pour over a salad made from: lettuce, snow peas, bean shoots, avocado, mango, chopped toasted almonds, shredded poached chicken.
