Robin Williams’ son, Zak, has paid tribute to his dad on the 7th anniversary of his death.
In a post on Twitter, Zak remembered his dad’s laughter and joy.
“Dad, seven years ago today you passed on. The joy and inspiration you brought to the world carries on in your legacy and in your family, friends, and fans you so loved. You lived to bring laughter and to help others. I will be celebrating your memory today. Love you forever.”

Daughter Zelda also tweeted, saying the loss was hard to bear but said it helped to know she wasn’t alone.
Sending love out there today to all the folks navigating loss. New, old, the connective tissue of that deeply human pain can be hard to bear, but I find it easier sometimes knowing how many others have felt the same sting.

My heart goes out to you and everyone that is super close to him. He is my favorite actor and i actually got a a tattoo in his remembrance for Hook. He was truly an amazing person and shined a light on so many. He will be forever loved and his legacy will carry on. 💖

Williams was just 63 when he took his own life in 2014. It was later revealed he was battling a degenerative condition called Lewy Body Dementia.
As a 51 year old well into my Lewy Body Dementia journey, I hope you know he was saving himself and his loved ones the pain of watching him die again and again. I wish you peace and also thank Robin for his gift that he shared with the world.
