ALDI have officially announced their ‘cult favourite' Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur will be making a return to their shelves in preparation for Easter this year. The Limited Edition batch was released last year with huge success and fans have been wondering when and if ALDI would bring it back.
After its popularity last year, ALDI Australia have confirmed their Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur would be returning to shelves from Wednesday 30th of March, 2022. The small-batch gin is traditionally distilled and cut with spring mountain water and infused with cinnamon and spice flavours.
Made by Manchester Drinks Co, the limited release is infused with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger flavours to give you the rich, iconic fruity taste of hot cross buns in a glass.
Paul Handley, Spirits and Beer Buying Director for ALDI said about the return of the loved festive gin liqueur:
“After becoming an instant favourite with our customers when it was introduced last year, we’re very excited to be bringing back our limited-edition Manchester Drinks Co’s Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur for Easter again in 2022! Infused with all the delicious flavours of a hot cross bun, this rich and fruity gin liqueur is a great twist on a classic festive favourite and the perfect way to spice up your Easter festivities! Enjoy it on the rocks, over ice or with a dash of soda. Like hot cross buns though, it’s not sticking around forever so eager customers should pick up their bottle soon.”
The limited-edition liqueur comes in a 500ml bottle and contains 20% alcohol. You can mix it with soda, sparkling wine or simply serve on ice to enjoy the full flavour. Manchester Drinks Co also recommends serving with ginger ale and orange peel.
They’re due to arrive in stores on Wednesday 30th of March and retail for $19.99. Drink responsibly.
