Coldplay Breaks Australian Ticket Presale Record

The bands already controversial ‘tour’ down under has come under more fire as fans say they couldn’t get their hands on tickets when the presale opened.

The UK band sent fans into a spin last week when they announced that they were coming to Australia for the first time since 2016, but only for them to realise that they are only playing one night in Perth as part of their Music of The Spheres World Tour.

The presale window opened on Monday morning, which attracted the record number of over 300,000 fans, which has left a lot of fans dissapointed.

The record numbers have been confirmed by Ticketmaster.

Tickets have already hit the secondary market and are being resold on social media and other platforms for huge prices.

Though, to somewhat soften the blow, the band took to social media overnight to announce a second Perth show due to the crazy demand.

The UK band have also enlisted the help of Aussie musicians such as Tash Sultana, Thelma Plum and Amy Shark to warm up the stage for the main act.
